關于印發《消防系統有關單位、職銜英文規范譯名》的通知

????隨著改革開放的深入發展，我國消防部門與國外同行的交流不斷增多，消防部門各單位、職銜的英文譯名使用率越來越高。單位、職銜的譯名在英語中屬于專有名詞范疇，其本身內涵具有確定性和嚴肅性。為了防止出現錯誤譯名，或一個機構數個譯名的混亂狀況，我局在多次征求有關單位意見的基礎上，對有關譯名進行了規范統一。
????現將《消防系統有關單位、職銜英文規范譯名》印發給你們，請在單位標識翻譯、對外宣傳交流工作中使用。如有疑問或建議，請及時與我局辦公室聯系。特此通知。

????注：1、關于“市”的譯法。目前我國通行做法是將直轄市譯為Municipality（全稱MunicipalitydirectlyundertheCentralGovernment），地級市也譯為Municipality，縣級市譯為City。為了避免直轄市和地級市都用Municipality引起的混淆，同時考慮到四個直轄市名氣較大，翻譯時不加Municipal做定語修飾一般不會引起誤解，因此在翻譯直轄市消防局時省略了Municipal。然而，直轄市公安局的傳統譯名中一直都有Municipal做修飾，本文對此未做改動，如果各直轄市消防局為了與公安局譯名保持一致，也可在譯名中加上Municipal做修飾。
????2、各地消防部門既有部隊稱謂(如XX省公安消防總隊，中國人民武警警察部隊XX省消防總隊)，也有地方稱謂(如XX省公安廳消防局)。為了便于溝通交流，建議在對外宣傳交流中統一使用地方稱謂，如建議使用FireDepartmentofXXProvince(XX省公安廳消防局)，不建議使用FireCorpsofXXProvince(XX省公安消防總隊)；建議使用FireStation(消防站)，不建議使用FireSquadron(消防中隊)等。
????3、四個國家級消防產品檢測中心已分別有各自的英文譯名，并且有的已注冊使用。為工作方便，各檢測中心可以繼續沿用過去的譯名，但是由于原有譯名不是很統一和規范，建議今后有條件時盡量過渡到規范譯名。
